Fishing in North Baldwin is one of our area’s biggest attractions. With multiple places to explore, our fishing holes are some of the best in Baldwin County! Our waterways have plenty of public boat launches, pay-to-launch, bait shops and free-bank fishing too.
In March 2014, the Alabama Bass Trail kicked off its first ever southern series division right here in North Baldwin at Live Oak Landing! (Read a little further down for more information on Live Oak).

Located on the beautiful banks of the Alabama River, Dixie Landing boat launch provides great access to perhaps one of the best fishing destinations in Baldwin County. Great holes to catch bass, brim, mullet blue cat and much more are located within yards of the landing.
The Boat Launch is open 24/7 and is privately owned. There is a $5.00 boat fee and a deposit box is located at the old café.
Live Oak Landing

Live Oak Landing in Baldwin County consists of 218 acres of floodplain forest land adjacent to the existing Forever Wild holdings in the Mobile Tensaw Delta and 180 acres of new Coastal Impact Assistance Program land. Additionally, local government agencies have acquired 206 acres adjacent to this tract to be developed as a recreation area and Delta access point.
For fishing, Live Oak boasts one of the top rated fishing launches in North Baldwin County! With is newly renovated boat launches, it plays host to several fishing piers as well as a pond where you can sit back, relax and fish until your heart’s content under the shade of oaks and Spanish moss.
Live Oak is one of the quiet jewels in North Baldwin!
